Bhiwandi will host a 120-foot-tall eco-friendly replica of Varanasi's Swarved Mahamandir Dham as the centerpiece of the 38th annual Ganeshotsav. The festival, organized by Dhamankar Naka Mitra Mandal in collaboration with Swabhiman Seva Sanstha, aims to promote national integration, social welfare, and cultural preservation. The 120-foot-high structure will be built using sustainable materials like wood, bamboo, rope, and cloth, making it an environmentally-friendly attraction for devotees and visitors.
Alongside the impressive replica, the event will feature various religious, spiritual, social, and cultural activities, including a blood donation camp, eye check-up and cataract surgery camp, tuberculosis screening, antique weapon and coin exhibition, traditional sports competitions, and Ganesh idol-making contests for school students.
Additionally, essay-writing and elocution contests, as well as awareness programs against superstition and substance abuse, will be held. The mandal will also distribute free sewing machines to women and set up a selfie point inspired by the 'Nasha Mukt Maharashtra' theme. Security will be enhanced with 50 guards and 50 CCTV cameras deployed at the festival site, and the immersion procession will be DJ-free, accompanied by traditional musical instruments instead.
