“Amazing” – Cunha tips Man Utd teammate to be the biggest surprise of the season

Manchester United forward Matheus Cunha has tipped his compatriot and teammate, Andrey Santos, to be the biggest surprise of the season at Old Trafford. The Brazilian defensive midfielder, who joined United from Chelsea for £48 million, was initially a mainstay in Michael Carrick's starting lineup during pre-season, forming a solid partnership with Mason Mount.

However, Santos suffered a forgettable competitive debut against Hull, and was subsequently dropped in favor of Kobbie Mainoo. With Andrey Santos' potential to become a breakout star this season, Cunha expressed his confidence in Santos' abilities and capabilities, stating that Santos is an amazing player. The 27-year-old also revealed that Santos was thrilled when the opportunity to sign for Man Utd arose, and that he has been helping Santos adjust to life at the club.
