1980s AI Photo trend: 5 ChatGPT prompts to create Punjab-style retro images

The internet's fascination with the aesthetic of the 1980s has permeated social media platforms, with users employing AI image generators to transform contemporary ideas into images reminiscent of that era. In Punjab, this trend has given rise to images that evoke the warm, nostalgic atmosphere of that decade, characterized by earth-toned village courtyards, handloom textiles, vintage vehicles, and soft, direct-flash photography. To achieve this retro look, the following five AI image generation prompts have been provided:

1. Preserve the subject's facial features, skin tone, and identity while incorporating clothing styles, textures, and compositions that reflect the aesthetic of 1980s Punjab.

2. Maintain the subject's likeness, facial anatomy, and natural skin texture, while positioning them outside a Panjab University campus in 1988, near vintage vehicles and classic bicycles. The subject should be dressed in period-appropriate attire with aviator glasses and a retro satchel.

3. Retain the individual's exact facial features and appearance while transforming the setting, wardrobe, and style to rural Punjab circa 1984. The subject should be seated in a sunlit courtyard, holding a brass glass of chai, dressed in authentic 1980s Punjabi attire.

4. Using the uploaded photo as a reference, keep the person's face unaltered, and transform the setting, wardrobe, and style to rural Punjab in 1984. The subject should be seated on a jute charpai, holding a brass glass of chai, dressed in traditional Punjabi attire.
