Zahid tells youth: If your idea is 'slay', flex it 'for real'

KUALA LUMPUR - Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi recently spoke in a youthful manner at the 2026 Umno General Assembly, urging the younger generation to "slay" and "flex" their ideas. He encouraged them not to keep their ideas to themselves, "flex them", and see who can bring a "W" or victory to the party. Zahid acknowledged that this language is part of how young people communicate today, urging Umno Youth and Puteri Umoh members to engage with them using their language.

He emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between the party and the younger generation, welcoming those who have distanced themselves or want to contribute again.
