Germany's federal prosecutor announced charges on Friday against seven men suspected of Hamas terrorist activities. The suspects are accused of planning an attack targeting Jewish communities and Israeli-linked individuals in Germany and Austria. According to the prosecutor's statement, the individuals were directed by senior Hamas operatives to gather weapons and ammunition for the planned assault.

The seven suspects, whose nationalities include German, Danish, Lebanese, and Bulgarian, were identified as Abed Al G., Yousif C., Borhan El-K., Wael FM, Ahmad I., Kamel M., and Mohammad S. The arrests of three key suspects—Al G., Wael FM, and Ahmad I.—occurred in October 2025. At that time, the suspects had already amassed more than 700 rounds of ammunition, an automatic rifle, and 13 pistols for the intended attack.

A seventh suspect, Mohammed A., a British national, was prosecuted separately for his role in transporting the weapons and storing them in Austria. Additionally, Mohammed A. recorded a video confession, claiming responsibility for the attack and stating that it was orchestrated in the name of Hamas. German authorities reported that the group had been scheming for an attack since at least July 2025, with plans to execute the plot around the second anniversary of Hamas's October 7 massacre in Israel.
