Yabloko’s candidate list removed from ballot in another Russian region, leaving party in just one regional race

A court in Russia's Tomsk region has dismissed Yabloko's candidate list for the regional legislative assembly election, following a lawsuit filed by the LDPR. The Yabloko press service claimed the lawsuit was based on similar grievances raised against the federal list, including the distribution of campaign materials through restricted-access resources and alleged violations of intellectual property law.

The Supreme Court had previously invalidated the party's federal list on August 10, after Rodina sued Yabloko for copyright infringement and illegal payments for campaign advertising. While seven Yabloko candidates will still participate in the Tomsk region race, running in single-mandate districts, the party's regional list now remains active only in the Novgorod region, down from the eight regions where Yabloko initially submitted candidate lists.
