'Will Respond In Netaji's Language': West Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari On Kashmir Slogans At Jadavpur University

Kolkata's Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari has stated that the West Bengal government will respond to Kashmiri independence slogans raised at Jadavpur University in the language of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, rather than Mahatma Gandhi. Speaking in the state Assembly, Adhikari threatened strict disciplinary action against anyone who raises such slogans, saying "if any one raise slogans like ‘Bharat Ke Tukde Honge’ then they will receive strict medicines."

The Assembly was convened to pass a Bill enabling state university employees to be transferred between institutions.

In a separate press conference, Adhikari called upon schools to participate in a lamp-lighting program on September 17 as part of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday celebrations. He announced that Bengal would host a series of events from September 17 to October 10, culminating in a main celebration on October 7 to mark 25 years of Modi’s public service.

The main event will take place in Kolkata, with lamps adorning various landmarks, including the Ganga, Nabanna, Victoria Memorial, Writers’ Buildings, and the Kalighat temple.
