As the clock neared midnight, a fire broke out at the migrant settlement in Tarajal's Naves del Tarajal, affecting several of the makeshift homes. Flames quickly spread to the shops where families, including those with children, were living, located right at the entrance to the market area for migrants. Over 40 of these shops were damaged.

Emergency services, including firefighters, responded to the scene, but it took nearly two hours to extinguish the blaze. No one was injured and the families were left homeless, with no alternative accommodation provided. The local residents, along with the nearby Prince Philip School, were not affected by the fire. This is the second fire to break out in the city on the same day; around 6 PM, a smaller blaze was reported near the Trampolín beach, close to the CETI center in the Monte area. Both fires remain unattributed to any individual.
