UCL: ‘I fancy them’ – Gary Lineker predicts winner, finalists this season

Former Barcelona striker Gary Lineker has predicted that Barcelona, Arsenal, and Paris Saint-Germain are the favourites to win the Champions League this season. Lineker believes the final will likely feature a clash between Barcelona and Arsenal, with the Catalan giants coming out on top. He expressed his belief that Barcelona are currently in good form, stating, "Those two teams [Barcelona and PSG] probably have to be favourites along with maybe Arsenal, but Barcelona are looking a bit tasty at present."

Lineker went on to say that he has a feeling that Paris Saint-Germain will not be the winners this season, adding, "I’ve got a feeling that PSG are not going to win it this season and I think that it will be between Barcelona and Arsenal."

The former Manchester United and England star praised Barcelona's current performance, noting that they started their Champions League campaign strongly with a 5-1 win against Feyenoord. Arsenal also made an impression in the competition, defeating Napoli 1-0 thanks to a late goal by Martin Odegaard. Lineker believes that Mikel Arteta's side might go close to winning the trophy once again, but ultimately, he favours Barcelona to lift the coveted prize.
