UAE-Germany investment deepens, AI used in Houthi weapons projects, and Brics summit to start

In a significant development, the UAE has announced plans to invest 40 billion euros in Germany across key sectors such as industry, advanced technology, artificial intelligence, digital infrastructure, and energy. This announcement was made during a meeting between President Sheikh Mohamed and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz in Berlin.

Recently, Israel claims to have destroyed Hezbollah tunnels under the Ali Al Taher ridge, establishing a security zone in southern Lebanon. However, the UAE expresses hope that Algeria's decision to sever diplomatic ties will be temporary, following Algeria's request for the Emirati ambassador's departure.

Anthropic, a technology company, has taken a stance against the misuse of its AI models by stating it has disrupted their use in missile development projects in Houthi-controlled Yemen. This includes work on a guided rocket, a long-range ballistic missile, and a proposed hypersonic glide vehicle.

Additionally, Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, will represent the UAE at the upcoming Brics Summit in New Delhi this weekend. The summit will feature the participation of Brics nations - Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa.
