Mobile card game Vampire: The Masquerade Clans of London has captured my attention on my daily commute, proving to be a worthy replacement for Marvel Snap. Unlike Marvel Snap, which offers famous superheroes like Luna Snow, Blade, and Spider-Man, Clans of London presents a collection of unique DeviantArt-style characters with names like Sid Scabies, Cathy Carmine, Helen Lloyd, and Ms. Harriot.

The developers chose to use photographs of actors in makeup and costumes for the cards, adding an amusing and distinct touch to the game.

The game's quick competitive online matches, lasting about five minutes each, make it perfect for breaking up my commute. With a board featuring 15 card slots, divided into pawns, rook slots, allied cards, and the three knight slots and one prince slot, strategic placement of cards is crucial. The pawns are used early on to support your hand, while the rook slots defend against your opponent's cards.

The allied cards can reinforce each other in combat, and the prince slot is the most valuable space, awarding victory points based on the number of cards in play.

Vampire: The Masquerade Clans of London offers an engaging tactical challenge that is distinct from Marvel Snap. The game is set in modern-day London, which has been recovering from a massive vampire purge, making the thematic elements relevant and interesting. Each vampire faction and type is represented with appropriate special card effects, and the developers have provided a 'make me a deck' button to help create interesting combinations.
