Third accused arrested in DJ Warras murder case

Hlengiwe Goodness Buthelezi, another accused in the murder case of DJ Warras, has abandoned her bail application, according to prosecutors. The 37-year-old appeared before the Johannesburg Magistrate’s Court on 11 September 2026, facing charges of murder and conspiracy to commit murder. She was arrested in Msinga, KwaZulu-Natal earlier this week and had previously been held alongside her partner, Victor Mthethwa Majola, at a Soweto hostel in December 2025.

However, she was released due to insufficient evidence at the time. Authorities continued to search for her, alleging her involvement in a plot to kill Stock, who was fatally shot outside a Johannesburg CBD building on 16 December 2025. Majola, who was denied bail earlier this year, also declined to apply for bail, and the proceedings were moved to the Gauteng High Court on 18 September 2026 for a pre-trial conference.
