#SHOWBIZ: 'Wanita Hari Ini' moves to Sunday after 25 years on TV3

KUALA LUMPUR: After a quarter-century on TV3's weekday lunchtime schedule, the popular women's talk show Wanita Hari Ini (WHI) is preparing for a shift to Sundays. This change, effective from this week, replaces the women's magazine programme Nona in the 2pm to 3pm time slot. Departing from its 25-year tradition, WHI will now operate in a weekly format, granting its team additional time to concentrate on content development and digital expansion.

WHI producer Fiza Sabjahan announced the schedule shift, stating it would enable the team to prioritize digital content and produce more high-quality episodes. Recognizing the growing audience preference for digital platforms, WHI's digital content has garnered positive feedback and engagement. Sabjahan highlighted the new format's advantage of providing more time for research, allowing the team to present better-quality and more beneficial topics.

Although the main programme will air for an hour each Sunday, WHI plans to maintain audience engagement throughout the week via WHI Vibe, a five-minute segment airing from Monday to Friday at noon. Additionally, the programme's digital content will be uploaded at noon via its official platforms. The revamped Sunday show will feature refreshed segments, including WHI Trend, WHI Cantik, WHI Menu, WHI Curhat, WHI Kasih, and Pesona Nona, while retaining the recognizable elements that have connected with audiences for two and a half decades.

Three new presenters—Hanna Faresha, Nurin Razmyn, and Izza Izelan—will join WHI, working alongside the existing hosts Fiza, Syahira Izzaty, and Sugeeta Chandran, as the show aims to stay relevant to a wider and increasingly digital audience.
