SBICAP Securities ties up with Appreciate to offer Indian investors access to 8,000+ global stocks

State Bank of India-backed securities firm SBICAP Securities has joined forces with Indian brokerage Appreciate Broking to provide retail investors with access to over 8,000 global stocks and ETFs through the GIFT City ecosystem, according to a joint announcement made on September 11, 2026 at the Global Fintech Fest in Mumbai. The collaboration was formally launched by Challa Sreenivasulu Setty, Chairman of the State Bank of India.

This partnership puts SBICAP Securities in an exclusive position among Indian platforms, as it offers both GIFT City-based Global Access Providers, India INX GA and NSEIXGA, under a unified platform. Investors will be able to trade fractional amounts as low as $1, starting with a wide selection of US-listed stocks and global ETFs.

The platform operates under a regulated GIFT City route, featuring single KYC onboarding, multi-bank remittance support, and custody services held by approved US custodians. Additionally, the companies plan to expand their offerings to include global mutual funds, thematic portfolios and structured products. SBICAP Securities' Managing Director and CEO, Baldev Prakash, stated that this strategic alliance creates a "unique platform that merges convenience, investor protection, and extensive global access."

Appreciate Co-Founder Shlok Srivastav emphasized that global investing represents "a crucial element for wealth creation in India."
