ROC Transporting Part Of Prince Dmitry Donskoy’s Relics To Front To Boost Occupiers’ “Combat Morale” — CCD

The Russian Orthodox Church is transporting parts of the relics of Prince Dmitry Donskoy to the front lines in Ukraine, as part of an ideological campaign to bolster the morale of Russian occupiers. This decision has been announced by the Center for Countering Disinformation (CCD) under Ukraine's National Security and Defense Council, which reported the news on Telegram.

The Russian Orthodox Church, in collaboration with the Kremlin, is rolling out this campaign to strengthen the resolve of Russian forces fighting in Ukraine.

Sergei Kiriyenko, the first deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, has personally engaged in the PR campaign surrounding the relics, praising the "spiritual mission" of transporting them to the frontlines and urging Russian occupiers to seek a blessing from the relics. During his visit to the Donetsk region, a region currently occupied by Russian forces, Kiriyenko's public support further underscores the political nature of this religious initiative.

The CCD emphasizes that Kiriyenko's direct involvement in this campaign, along with the extensive media coverage of his activities, suggests that the initiative is not merely a spiritual endeavor from the church but a strategic move orchestrated by the Kremlin and its intelligence services.

The involvement of a former Russian serviceman, who has been appointed to head the Russian Orthodox Church diocese in the temporarily occupied left bank of Kherson region, highlights the direct link between the Kremlin and these religious tactics.
