Remembering September 11: Giants recall encountering Flight 93 passengers

Twenty-five years have passed since the September 11 attacks on the World Trade Center in Lower Manhattan, yet the memories remain vivid for those who survived. One such survivor is the New York Giants, who unknowingly encountered the passengers of United Flight 93 as they returned from a Monday night game in Denver. On September 11, 2001, the Giants arrived back at Newark Airport, but as they exited the terminal, they passed by a group of passengers headed to San Francisco aboard Flight 93.

Later that day, Flight 93 crashed in Pennsylvania after the passengers fought back against the hijackers. In a recent interview, Giants Hall of Fame defensive end Michael Strahan recalled how the moment shook him, realizing those were the final moments for the passengers.
