Putin’s ruling party increasingly resembles Soviet-style ideological machine
Dmitry Medvedev, chairman of the ruling United Russia party and deputy chairman of Russia’s Security Council, has reaffirmed the party’s commitment to a prolonged war against Ukraine and further entrenched its pro-war position as part of the Russian state’s ideology, the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) said in its Sept. 10 assessment.
