President Sheikh Mohamed meets Emiratis studying in Germany during state visit

President Sheikh Mohamed met Emirati students attending universities in Germany during his state visit to the European nation on Friday. Additionally, he also met with former German Chancellor Angela Merkel, business leaders, and Markus Soder, the Minister-President of Bavaria. According to the state news agency Wam, on Thursday, an agreement was announced for the UAE to invest €40 billion in Germany over the long term.

Sheikh Mohamed highlighted that Emirati students studying abroad are a national priority and emphasized the UAE's commitment to providing them with all necessary support and resources to realize their ambitions. He encouraged them to learn more about German society and culture, enabling them to become cultural bridges between the two nations and contribute to strengthening bilateral ties.

During his meeting with Ms. Merkel, Sheikh Mohamed commended her role in enhancing UAE-Germany relations while she was in office, fostering deeper cooperation and expanding economic links between the two nations. Ms. Merkel expressed her hopes for continued progress and prosperity for the UAE and its people, and for the ongoing development of relations between Germany and the Emirates.
