PIB Lucknow, UP Information Department Host Media Dialogue With Kerala Journalists To Boost Cultural Exchange

Lucknow, September 11 - The Press Information Bureau in Lucknow, in collaboration with the Uttar Pradesh Information and Public Relations Department, hosted a 'Media Samvaad' program on September 11. This event brought together media representatives from Kerala, with the aim to foster mutual dialogue and exchange of experiences. The program sought to deepen understanding of each other's culture and development journey, while also exploring media practices and governance models.

The Kerala delegation, led by media professionals, visited Lucknow to gain insights into Uttar Pradesh's cultural landscape, governance, and law and order strategies. They were particularly interested in the state's approach to maintaining public order and the mechanisms for public feedback. In turn, their Uttar Pradesh counterparts showed keen interest in Kerala's education system and its academic achievements.

Both sides engaged in discussions about the relationship between Bollywood and the South Indian film industry, highlighting the role of cinema in promoting cultural exchange across the nation. The event was organized under the leadership of Director of Information, Vishal Singh, and Director of PIB Lucknow, Dileep Kumar Shukla. Representatives from Kerala, including Ms. V. Parvathy, Director of PIB Keralam, and Arvind Kumar Mishra, Additional Director of Information, Uttar Pradesh Information Department, also participated in the discussions.
