Deputy Chief Minister II Jagdeep Singh Deo explained that STEM-Pulse is part of the Penang Future Engineers Immersion Programme. The event, attended by 150 upper-secondary students, provided hands-on experience with robotics, artificial intelligence, and modern engineering practices. The program is a collaboration between the Penang Educational Unity Association (EdUnite Penang), Universiti Tenaga Nasional (Uniten), educational groups IET Uniten on Campus, and the Mobile Robotics Club Uniten.
Jagdeep highlighted Penang’s status as the nation’s leading industrial hub, which hosts over 2,500 multinational corporations and more than 7,500 SMEs. "In Penang, we require at least 60,000 technicians and engineers to meet the demands of our thriving technology and manufacturing sectors as we head toward 2030," he stated.
