Opposition steps up consultations to hold APC on new provinces, law and order

Opposition parties intensified their consultations on Friday to form a joint platform and convene an all-parties conference. The discussions focused on crucial issues such as law and order, the economy, inflation, and the potential creation of new provinces. PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan led a delegation that included Salman Akram Raja, former National Assembly speaker Asad Qaiser, and other key figures.

The delegation met with JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence to discuss political matters. According to Gohar, discussions centered on forming a joint opposition in the Senate and National Assembly, with an agreement reached on the joint opposition. An alliance meeting held at the National Assembly resulted in a decision to convene an all-parties conference to address national issues.

The parties aim to discuss the current law and order situation, economic state, inflation, and the recent issue of new provinces. Consultations with Maulana Fazl continued as the process unfolded.
