Oluremi Tinubu fulfils N10m education pledge to 12-year-old artist

Nigeria's First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has honoured her promise of a ₦10 million educational grant to 12-year-old Ogun State artist, Master Morenikeji Ebunoluwa Joshua, according to details provided by the Ogun State Government. The generous contribution, handed over by Governor Dapo Abiodun on behalf of the First Lady, aims to support Joshua's educational journey through tertiary level.

Upon seeing Joshua's portrait of her at a recent event, Senator Tinubu immediately pledged the funds, showcasing her commitment to nurturing young talent. Governor Abiodun commended Joshua's artistic ability and determination, urging other youth to identify, develop, and promote their innate gifts. He emphasized that the gesture goes beyond the monetary value, representing an investment in Joshua's future.

This follows a three-year scholarship provided by the Governor to help Joshua complete primary and secondary education. The fund is now extended to cover the tertiary level, with an account specifically opened to manage the ₦10 million. Abiodun conveyed his gratitude to Tinubu, describing her as a promise keeper and a strong supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration.

The young artist expressed his gratitude, stating that the recognition and investment in his talent demonstrate that young people's abilities can be seen, valued, and encouraged. He advised other children to pursue their passions diligently. The Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, revealed that 21 other students received financial awards, contributing to the broader initiative to support deserving young individuals.
