Ogun APC fully ready for 2027 — Abiodun

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State is prepared for the 2027 general elections, Governor Dapo Abiodun announced on Thursday. Thousands of supporters and members of Caucus 7202 gathered at the Dipo Dina International Stadium, Ijebu-Ode, for a large rally in support of the party's gubernatorial candidate, Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola, also known as Yayi.

The rally, which drew participants from all 20 local government areas, showcased the growing APC mobilization ahead of the polls and gave the party and its allies a platform to reaffirm their commitment to success in 2027. Governor Abiodun highlighted the rally's turnout as proof of the APC's strength, unity, and readiness for the elections, emphasizing that the party's extensive grassroots foundation across the state had been built during his administration's seven years in power.

Abiodun praised the peaceful conduct of party activities and commended the maturity and unity displayed by its members, which he believed would strengthen the APC and secure its victory in the upcoming elections. He expressed confidence in Adeola's leadership potential, citing his experience and public service record. Adeola described Abiodun as a "silent achiever," acknowledging the governor's seven years of accomplishments and laying a solid foundation for the state's future development.

The APC candidate pledged to build on these achievements if elected and dismissed rumors of any collaboration with opposition parties ahead of the 2027 elections. Adeola thanked the various supporting groups, especially Caucus 7202, for their support, noting that over 90% of its members were not affiliated with any political party, demonstrating their confidence in the party and its candidates.

Caucus 7202, an independent political support group in Ogun State, has about 180,000 members, with more than 90% being non-partisan. The group is committed to mobilizing support for President Tinubu, Governor Abiodun's senatorial bid, and Adeola's gubernatorial campaign. Caucus 7202 plans to deploy its structures across the 20 local government areas to mobilize voters and help secure the APC and its candidates' victory in the 2027 elections.
