Nuovo stabilimento per Clivet dedicato al mercato europeo

A new Clivet facility in Feltre has begun production, focused on producing high-efficiency heat pumps and air conditioning solutions using natural refrigerants for tertiary applications. With an investment of 24 million euros, the 14,000 square meter facility increases the industrial fabric of the region and currently employs 80 workers, including 50 in production. Plans for future hiring are in place based on market development.

Stefano Bellò, Clivet's president and CEO, stated, "The opening of the Feltre facility represents a strategic step in Clivet's growth journey. We chose to invest in our home to promptly develop market-required solutions, boost production capacity in heating and cooling technologies, and provide customers and partners with systems that combine comfort, energy efficiency, and sustainability."

This facility is part of Clivet's expansion plans within Mbt Climate, a European division and house of brands of the Midea Group. Midea's Innovation Centre in Padova, opened last summer, serves as an international reference for research and development in the HVAC market. The Feltre facility is expected to produce 8,800 units annually, doubling current capacity for specific lines.

Bellò added, "With a strong push for Clivet products in tertiary applications and the development of new markets ahead, 70% of its production will be destined for foreign markets, particularly in Central-North European markets where there is growing demand for heat pumps for decarbonization in the tertiary sector." The facility features advanced high-efficiency and low-impact technologies: a 1,008-panel solar panel system on the roof covers 67% of consumption, with an estimated 87% self-consumption and surplus fed back into the grid.

Clivet's plant manager, Marco Bertazzo, emphasized, "The launch of the new facility is the result of intensive design, construction, and industrial organization work. We developed the lines by applying lean manufacturing principles, aiming to create more efficient flows, eliminate waste, and focus on value-generating activities for the customer.

We also designed the lines to integrate robots and collaborative robots, autonomous vehicles, and we decided to invest in skills and human capital to attract and train professionals who can accompany technological evolution and offer new opportunities to young people in the region." The building has achieved Leed Silver certification, Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design.
