Nigeria needs stronger governance to tackle corruption, mismanagement – NIM

The Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM) has called for stronger institutional governance and better management practices to combat corruption and mismanagement in Nigeria. NIM President and Chairman of Council, Abimbola Ayuba, emphasized during a press conference the institute's commitment to improving management practices at both the micro corporate and macro governmental levels.

Ayuba stated that the institute will continue its efforts to bequeath a well-trained and productive workforce to the nation, with the goal of eliminating mismanagement, maladministration, corruption, and other social vices that have hindered Nigeria's development. The 65th Annual National Management Conference, which marks the institute's sapphire jubilee, will be held at Tafawa Balewa Square in Lagos on Sunday.

The conference will bring together government officials, policymakers, business executives, and professional managers to discuss major management issues affecting the country and develop recommendations for policymakers and stakeholders.
