Netherlands stocks higher at close of trade; AEX up 0.50%

Netherlands stocks were higher at the close of trade on Friday, with gains in specific sectors driving the AEX index up by 0.50%. The Amsterdam Stock Exchange saw 51 stocks advance and 45 decline, with eight remaining unchanged. The best performers were Universal Music Group NV, which rose 4.17% to 14.61, BE Semiconductor Industries NV, which increased 2.80% to 189.25, and ABN AMRO Group NV, which gained 2.06% to 43.52.

The worst performers were IMCD NV, which dropped 1.28% to 97.26, DSM Firmenich AG, which fell 1.18% to 88.92, and Heineken, which decreased 1.07% to 70.28. ABN AMRO Group NV achieved an all-time high with a 2.06% rise to 43.52. The AEX Volatility, a measure of implied volatility of AEX options, remained unchanged at 21.09. Oil prices experienced a decline, with crude oil for October delivery falling 2.49% to $99.93 a barrel and Brent oil for November delivery decreasing 2.12% to $105.35 a barrel.

Meanwhile, the December Gold Futures contract rose by 0.08% to $4,410.90 a troy ounce. Currency markets remained relatively stable, with EUR/USD and EUR/GBP unchanged, while the US Dollar Index Futures rose by 0.02% to 99.07.
