NASA’s SpaceX Crew-12 to Discuss Station Mission, Upcoming Return

On Feb. 13, 2026, NASA's SpaceX Crew-12 embarked on a mission to the International Space Station, comprising NASA astronauts Jessica Meir and Jack Hathaway, ESA astronaut Sophie Adenot, and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev. The crew arrived at the space station and participated in numerous experiments that aimed to aid human exploration beyond low Earth orbit and benefit life on Earth.

These studies ranged from investigating pneumonia-causing bacteria for improved cardiovascular treatments, generating on-demand intravenous fluids for future space missions, to exploring how physical attributes may influence blood flow during spaceflight.

Crew-12 joined Expedition 74/75 aboard the International Space Station and made contributions to numerous experiments that aimed to enhance human spaceflight and advance scientific knowledge. The crew is scheduled to depart the space station following the arrival of Crew-13 and a brief handover period. Prior to their return, mission teams will evaluate weather conditions at the splashdown sites off the coast of California to ensure a safe return.

This mission marks the continuation of a 25-year tradition of continuous human presence aboard the International Space Station, which has been instrumental in advancing scientific knowledge and making research breakthroughs not achievable on Earth.
