Lukashenko Floats Mobilization, Says Attacking Neighbors Would Be ‘Tantamount to Death’
Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko said readiness inspections would cover the entire army and could include mobilization. At the same time, he denied plans to attack neighboring countries, saying such a move would be “tantamount to death” because Belarus could not win a conflict against the powerful states surrounding it.
