La Liga: Egyptian teenager Abdelkarim to extend Barca deal to 2030

Egyptian football prodigy Hamza Abdelkarim is set to extend his contract with Barcelona until 2030, the club announced on Friday. The 18-year-old, who joined Barcelona on loan from Al Ahly in February and then made a permanent move in the summer, has already made his mark on the global stage. At the 2022 World Cup, Abdelkarim became the youngest player to represent Egypt, earning a spot in all five games.

Impressed by his performance in preseason, the young striker netted four goals in five matches for Barcelona. He made his competitive debut for the Spanish club as a late substitute in their recent 5-2 victory over Rayo Vallecano. Abdelkarim is scheduled to sign his extended deal on Tuesday, according to the club.
