Kindiki to Gachagua: You're a small timer, in August 2027 we will whitewash you

Deputy President Kithure Kindiki has challenged former Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua to provide evidence of his development record while serving in government. Kindiki made the call during a tour of infrastructure projects in Tharaka Nithi, asking Gachagua to explain what roads, water projects and electricity he delivered to the region during his tenure.

The Deputy President criticized political rivals for criticizing the current administration without presenting their own development achievements for public scrutiny. Kindiki defended the government's proposed National Infrastructure Fund, saying it would provide a way to mobilize resources for major road projects. He also defended the need for larger infrastructure projects rather than implementing smaller ones, arguing that Kenya needed to make significant strides to catch up.

Kindiki highlighted a major dual-carriageway project in Mt Kenya East, which would connect multiple towns and boost the local economy. He praised the government's long-term infrastructure program aimed at transforming Kenya into a major construction site and a first-world country in the next two to three decades.
