Key measures to support exports: Ministries, provinces directed to maintain momentum

Islamabad witnessed an inter-ministerial meeting chaired by Deputy Prime Minister/Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday, aimed at advancing Pakistan's trade and export promotion agenda. The DPM/FM highlighted the importance of strengthening trade facilitation, improving the quality and competitiveness of Pakistani goods, broadening market access, and diversifying exports, including leveraging opportunities under the Generalized System of Preferences Plus (GSP+) in the European Union.

The Prime Minister reiterated the government's commitment to a coordinated whole-of-government approach in promoting exports and strengthening economic ties, with ongoing engagement with international partners. Federal ministries and provinces were instructed to maintain momentum on key measures supporting exports and enhancing Pakistan's trade potential.

The meeting, which included SAPM Tariq Bajwa and Federal Secretaries for Foreign Affairs, Commerce, Human Rights and Law, along with senior government officials from both federal and provincial levels, was attended.
