Jensen Huang Predicts New AI Models Will Drive Massive Cybersecurity Demand

Nvidia's Jensen Huang predicts that new AI models will create a significant demand for cybersecurity solutions. Speaking at the Goldman Sachs Communacopia + Technology conference, Huang explained that the industry is preparing to launch products, thus creating a demand by generating a sense of urgency around AI technologies. He emphasized that this can be done responsibly or less responsibly, depending on the approach.

Huang noted that those skilled in coding can also excel in debugging, highlighting the potential for AI tools in the cybersecurity sector. A World Economic Forum report from January indicated that executives anticipate AI to be the most significant factor influencing cybersecurity strategies this year, with 94% of surveyed executives considering AI a force multiplier for both defensive and offensive measures.

The report highlighted the expanding attack surface due to generative AI technologies, leading to unintended data exposure and increasingly complex exploitation tactics. These advancements are challenging the economics of human-centered detection and response systems, presenting a more complicated capital-allocation problem for decision-makers in cybersecurity budgets.

IBM reported in July that a larger percentage of organizations plan to boost their security spending after learning about the cyber capabilities of frontier AI models. The percentage of organizations intending to increase security spending rose to 85% in May, up from 64% in the period from March 2025 to February 2026, attributed to heightened awareness of advanced AI cyber capabilities.
