Apple has confirmed the release date for its major software update, iOS 27, which will be available as a free download for all compatible iPhones on September 14, 2026. The update was previewed at the WWDC 2026 conference, held from June 8-12, 2026, at Apple Park in Cupertino, California. iOS 27 brings several new features, including a revamped Siri AI, new Apple Intelligence functions, and improvements to core apps like Photos, Safari, and Notes.
The update will be compatible with iPhones from the iPhone 11 series onwards, including the latest iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max models. However, some features, such as Apple Intelligence, will require more recent devices, including iPhone 15 Pro or 15 Pro Max, or models from the iPhone 16 series.
