Intel says it has already passed a million High-NA EUV wafers - more than the rest of the industry combined

Intel has processed more than one million wafers on its High-NA EUV scanners, according to the company. This figure combines tool certification, research and development, and production, surpassing ASML's total of 1.35 million High-NA wafers made to date. The milestone was announced at the SPIE Photomask Technology and EUV Lithography conference in Monterey, highlighting Intel's significant progress in the high-end semiconductor market.

The achievement is particularly notable for Intel, which was once considered a minor player in the AI race, and has seen its stock price rise nearly 155% year-to-date. Intel's stock has also attracted interest from Nvidia and the US government, recognizing the company's strong position in the foundry business. Intel's share of the total exposed wafers is approximately 74%, placing it ahead of major competitors like TSMC, Samsung, and SK Hynix, who have yet to begin High-NA volume production.
