'I Have Butterflies In My Stomach': Alia Bhatt On Launching Four Actors In Her Production Venture Don't Be Shy

Alia Bhatt, a prominent actress in the Hindi film industry, has established her production house, Eternal Sunshine Productions, alongside her sister Shaheen Bhatt. They are currently working on their upcoming film, Don't Be Shy, which will be released on Amazon Prime Video. The movie features a talented cast including Aarushi Bajaj, Ansh Duggal, Bianca Arora, and Piyush Khati.

During a recent event in Mumbai for the film's trailer unveiling, Alia was asked if she had any aspirations to star in the film herself. She replied, "No, I don't think I ever felt that." Despite not starring in the movie, Alia expressed immense excitement about introducing four new actors and a debutant director. She admitted to feeling "butterflies in her stomach" about this milestone, as it marked her 14th year as an actor and her 14th as an actress introducing new talent.

Alia Bhatt emphasized that her joy extends beyond acting; she finds immense fulfillment in being a producer. She stated, "I love being an actor, I love being on camera. But, being a producer, it gives me another level of joy because we are involved in building a world, building a story." The film's narrative is expected to resonate with audiences universally.

Scheduled for release on September 25, 2026, on Prime Video, Don't Be Shy is directed by Sreeti Mukerji. Alia Bhatt's filmography also includes her upcoming role in Love & War, starring alongside Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. The film, helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is set for release in January 2027.
