Honda Philippines hits 10 million motorcycle milestone

In a significant achievement, Honda Philippines Inc. (HPI) has produced and rolled out its 10-millionth motorcycle at its manufacturing facility in Batangas. The 10-millionth unit produced is a Click125 Smart Edition, a popular model among Filipino riders. The motorcycle manufacturer expressed gratitude towards the trust of Filipino consumers, dealers, suppliers, partners, and associates that made this milestone possible.

HPI president Takeshi Kobayashi emphasized that the achievement was a result of the combined efforts of multiple stakeholders, including Honda's employees who have put their pride and passion into every motorcycle produced.

Looking forward, HPI aims to continue creating jobs and supporting the motorcycle industry and the country's growth. Minoru Kato, executive managing officer at Honda Motor Co. Ltd., expressed confidence that this milestone would enable HPI to grow as it serves as a key production base in the firm's global motorcycle network. Kato emphasized that customer needs and expectations are rapidly evolving, with people seeking greater value that fits their daily lives, including safety, convenience, and environmental consciousness.

Kato hopes that the 10-millionth motorcycle milestone will become the starting point for the next stage of growth for Honda Philippines.

HPI, the leading motorcycle manufacturer in the country, began producing motorcycles at its first factory in Parañaque in May 1973. Later, in April 2006, the factory was moved to Batangas. Recently, HPI started exporting the Click125 motorcycles to Cambodia and Laos, in line with its goal to bring Philippine-made motorcycles to the global market.
