Gov Yusuf Flays Bandits’ Attacks on Four LGAs in Kano

Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has strongly denounced recent bandit attacks that targeted four local government areas within the state. In a statement, the governor’s spokesman, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, detailed the affected regions to include Chiromawa in Garun Mallam LGA, Beli in Rogo LGA, Bebeji, and several communities surrounding Gwarzo LGA.

Governor Yusuf expressed his deepest sympathies towards the victims and their families, branding the attacks as profoundly distressing and utterly intolerable. He pledged that his administration, in partnership with relevant security forces, would implement stringent measures to thwart future assaults and reestablish a sense of security among the populace.

The governor directed authorities to bolster surveillance, intelligence collection, and rapid response capabilities in the impacted zones. He urged residents not to exacerbate tensions by acting in ways that could further destabilize the situation, while assuring them that the government is closely coordinating with security agencies to tackle the crisis.

Yusuf called upon residents to assist law enforcement by providing reliable information that could aid in the prevention of additional attacks and the capture of the culprits. He praised the diligence of security personnel and urged them to maintain their intelligence-driven operations to safeguard vulnerable communities throughout Kano State.

The governor also extended his condolences to the families of the deceased, called for the swift recovery of the injured, and pledged the return of any abducted individuals. He reiterated his administration’s unwavering dedication to the protection of all residents’ lives and assets, with the ultimate goal of fostering enduring peace and security across the entire state.
