Germany stocks higher at close of trade; DAX up 0.77%

German stocks closed higher on Friday, with the DAX gaining 0.77%, the MDAX rising 0.23% and the TecDAX adding 1.09%. The Technology, Telecoms and Industrials sectors led the gains. Infineon Technologies AG and Deutsche Telekom AG were among the top gainers, while BASF SE and Rheinmetall AG were the worst performers. The MDAX saw Thyssenkrupp AG, Bilfinger SE and Bechtle AG rise, while flatexDEGIRO AG, Lanxess AG and Redcare Pharmacy NV were the worst.

The TecDAX was led by Infineon Technologies AG, Deutsche Telekom AG and Bechtle AG. Shares in Evotec AG hit 5-year lows, down 2.50% to 2.97. The DAX volatility index hit a 1-month high. Gold Futures and Crude oil declined, while the EUR/USD exchange rate remained unchanged. The US Dollar Index Futures showed a slight gain.
