Ga Mantse calls for closer cooperation between Zongo leaders and traditional authorities

Ga Mantse King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II has urged Zongo community leaders and traditional authorities to work more closely together. Addressing the Zongo Chiefs Conference in Accra, held under the theme "The Zongo Development Agenda," the Ga Mantse emphasized the need for harmonious coexistence and progress. He proposed that Zongo communities be granted the freedom to maintain their unique identity and leadership systems while still adhering to the customary rules of the traditional areas they occupy.

King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II highlighted the significance of setting up effective communication pathways between Zongo and traditional leaders to avert conflicts and clarify misunderstandings. He stressed that dialogue and education were crucial tools for managing differences, warning against the traditional authority becoming a source of division.

"Authority should never become a source of division," he cautioned, advocating for constructive relationships between Zongo leaders and traditional authorities. He believed such relationships would foster unity and lay a robust groundwork for the development of Zongo communities.
