Farmers protest demanding uninterrupted power supply in Karimnagar district

Farmers in Karimnagar district staged a protest at Sundaragiri crossroads on Friday, urging for uninterrupted power supply to protect their standing maize and other crops. The farmers from Sundaragiri and neighboring villages blocked the main road, demanding assurances from officials. The road blockade caused traffic disruptions.

After mandal-level officials promised to inform higher authorities about their grievances, the farmers lifted their protest. Similar demonstrations took place in Paidimadugu, Korutla mandal of Jagtial district, and Kusumanchi, Khammam district on the same day.
