Exclusive-Nvidia in talks to invest in Anthropic’s mega IPO, sources say

Nvidia is reportedly engaging in discussions to invest in Anthropic's anticipated $100 billion IPO, potentially making it the largest IPO in history, according to sources cited by Reuters. The artificial intelligence startup is reportedly aiming to value itself at around $2 trillion. Nvidia is contemplating an investment of up to $10 billion in the IPO, one source added.

The details are still being discussed and may change, sources said, requesting anonymity due to the confidential nature of the talks. Should Nvidia decide to participate in the IPO, it would serve as an anchor investor for Anthropic, offering early strategic backing for the substantial offering while strengthening the bond between the chipmaker and a key customer.

The presence of such a major investor could bolster investor confidence in the listing, which is anticipated to be a significant test for public-market appetite for the lofty valuations and capital demands of leading AI firms.
