Ending double-track: Bono East Minister impressed with Yefri SHS project, unhappy with Busunya contractor

The Assistant Headmaster of Osei Bonsu Senior High School in Yefri, Bono East, expressed satisfaction with the progress of GETFund projects at the school, particularly the new classroom and dormitory blocks. These structures are anticipated to alleviate overcrowding and enhance the learning environment for the school's nearly 2,000 students.

The school's Headmaster conveyed this optimism as the Bono East Regional Minister, Francis Owusu Antwi, visited the Nkoranza North District to assess the GETFund projects at both Yefri Senior High School (SHS) and Busunya SHS.

The minister highlighted the importance of these projects in the government's endeavor to eradicate the double-track senior high school system. He expressed confidence in the progress at Yefri SHS, noting that the contractor was performing satisfactorily. However, the minister expressed dissatisfaction with the work at Busunya SHS, warning that failure to meet quality standards and timelines would result in sanctions.

District Chief Executive Effah Patrick expressed confidence in the contractors' ability to deliver quality services within the stipulated time frame, promising continuous engagement to ensure compliance with the minister's directives.

The minister's tour was expected to progress across the Bono East region, with a commitment to maintain pressure on contractors as the government strives to end the double-track system through extensive infrastructure expansion.
