‘CSSPS boss should be fired’ – Janet Nabla on SHS placement challenges

PNP presidential hopeful Janet Nabla has demanded the immediate dismissal of the head of the Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) due to difficulties encountered in the Senior High School placement process. Nabla, speaking on Adom FM’s Dwaso Nsem, described a distressing visit to a placement centre on Thursday, stating it was "terrible."

She harshly criticized the CSSPS head, calling him "super incompetent" and demanding his removal along with all his officials. Nabla also suggested the placement exercise was being compromised by corruption, alleging that school assignments were being "sold." She questioned placements for students without relevant impairments, such as a student not visually impaired receiving a school for the deaf.

The controversy has sparked outrage among parents and students at placement centres, with some facing long waits to address placement issues, including school location, program, and course assignments. Nabla attributed the problems to broader administrative failures under the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and accused government officials of personal gain.
