Civil Defense declares end of danger in Taif after sirens sounded

Saudi Civil Defense declared the threat in Taif had ceased on Saturday morning. The General Directorate of Civil Defense announced the early warning system activation was no longer necessary, as conditions returned to normal. The authority urged residents to maintain adherence to safety guidelines even as everyday life resumed. Civil Defense previously activated sirens, warning citizens to avoid gatherings, photo-taking, and rumor-spreading.

Upon receiving alert messages from the National Early Warning Platform, the public was instructed to remain calm and follow official guidance. The recommended immediate action was to seek refuge inside a building or interior room, avoiding windows. Staying indoors until the threat passed was emphasized, along with staying away from open areas and glass surfaces.

Standing on balconies or rooftops was strictly prohibited. Motorists encountered with warnings were advised to pull over safely, away from hazardous structures. The public was reminded to avoid gatherings and photography, and to stay clear of dangerous locations. In case of visible danger, residents were instructed to call emergency services via the appropriate regional number, and to adhere to directives through official channels.
