CERT and TOEFL enter into a strategic agreement to expand access to global education opportunities for students across the UAE

The Centre of Excellence for Applied Research and Training (CERT), an education and training division of Capital H Group, has partnered with TOEFL® to broaden students' access to the globally recognized English proficiency assessment. This strategic agreement seeks to support students' aspirations for academic and professional opportunities in the UAE and across the globe.

CERT brings three decades of expertise in developing education and training solutions tailored to industry and labour market needs, backed by its extensive network throughout the UAE and collaborations with government agencies, private-sector organizations, and educational institutions. The partnership will see CERT become the largest education and training provider of TOEFL® in the UAE, offering students more convenient access to the assessment through its assessment centres.

TOEFL® iBT is a leading English proficiency test measuring reading, listening, speaking, and writing skills in academic contexts, and it is accepted by over 13,000 universities and institutions in more than 160 countries. Khalid Alhammadi, CEO of CERT, emphasized the importance of the partnership in creating educational pathways that enable learners to achieve their goals.

TOEFL®'s Vice President, David Hand, highlighted the value of combining CERT's local expertise with TOEFL®'s global assessment and research capabilities to create greater value for students in the UAE. The agreement includes the launch of six TOEFL® iBT test centres across CERT's network, aiming to expand access and empower students to pursue their academic and professional aspirations locally and internationally.
