Bono East Regional Minister commends quality of work at Okatakyie M/A School Project

A recently constructed classroom block at the Okatakyie M/A Basic School in Nkoranza South Municipality has been completed and furnished, according to the Bono East Regional Minister, Francis Owusu Antwi. The minister inspected the facility and expressed satisfaction with its quality, praising the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) for providing the necessary furniture.

However, Antwi noted that the quantity of furniture was insufficient and appealed to the MCE to increase it. He also requested the MCE to address a table and chair that the school headmaster had requested. The Regional Minister congratulated the contractor, consultant, and the MCE on their good work and emphasized that the location of the facility will make education more accessible to both teachers and pupils.

The school headmaster, Rev. Dr. Bright Adu-Boahen, expressed relief that the new block provides enough classrooms for all levels, from KG to JHS. He also highlighted that teaching and learning have improved, as teachers now have a common room for preparation and pupils have ample space to sit, unlike in the past when they had to rush to classrooms during rain.

Rev. Dr. Adu-Boahen added that the ICT laboratory is still awaiting computers and called on authorities and stakeholders to support the school with them to fully equip the lab, benefitting the pupils.
