Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and the Lalbaugcha Raja Mandal have collaborated to transform food and organic waste generated during Ganeshotsav into renewable electricity for hospital use. The process involves scientifically processing nearly 8 to 10 metric tonnes (MT) of waste daily, with an estimated 80 MT to be processed over 11 days.
