Bezzecchi tops MotoGP practice at San Marino GP
MISANO ADRIATICO, Italy: Italian Marco Bezzecchi pipped seven-time Moto GP champion Marc Marquez in Friday practice for the weekend’s San Marino Grand Prix.
Italian Marco Bezzecchi edged out seven-time MotoGP champion Marc Marquez in Friday practice for the San Marino Grand Prix, finishing a tenth of a second quicker. The session was challenging for championship leader Jorge Martin, who managed the 10th fastest time and will automatically qualify for Saturday's Q2. The top 10 riders in practice are exempt from Q1 and guaranteed a top 12 grid placement in the sprint race and the main Grand Prix on Sunday, while the remaining 13 riders must compete in Q1 for their spots.
