Becker fined for kicking sub. board after Forest draw

Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has been fined £8,000 by the FA following his altercation with the electronic substitution board after a 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest. Earlier in the match, Becker was booked for arguing with the referee over the fourth official failing to have the electronic board ready for Andoni Iraola’s substitutions when the game was level at 1-1.

Forest took advantage of this, regaining the lead with a penalty kick after Becker fouled Neco Williams. Despite Liverpool equalizing, Becker was seen kicking the substitution board on the ground outside the tunnel after the match, damaging the equipment. The FA spokesperson confirmed Becker accepted the charge against him and received the standard penalty. Liverpool will face Fulham in their next Premier League match.
