72.6% Premium, 137 Bids: Shipbid.Net Sets New Benchmark with “Bourbon Evolution 806” Sale

At 8:20 PM Beijing Time on September 9, the online auction platform Shipbid.Net concluded a multi-day bidding process for the Bareboat Charter of the MPSV (Multi-Purpose Service Vessel) "Bourbon Evolution 806." The final sale price reached USD 60.4 million, a staggering 72.6% premium above the initial opening bid of USD 35 million.

During the auction, 137 rounds of real-time bidding took place, with participation from four bidders hailing from the Middle East, Africa, and Southeast Asia. This sale represents a new record for similar vessel projects on Shipbid.Net, surpassing the previous high of USD 52.06 million achieved by "Bourbon Evolution 808" on August 25.

Since July 2025, Shipbid.Net, acting on behalf of the vessel owner ICBC Financial Leasing, has conducted 34 successful auctions for Bourbon-series offshore vessels, encompassing 12 vessels that were previously laid up and 22 operational ones. The cumulative opening bids for these vessels totaled USD 367 million, with the final sale prices reaching USD 462 million, reflecting an overall premium of over 25%.

Through extensive global marketing initiatives across multiple channels, the Bourbon series project has garnered considerable interest from the offshore industry worldwide. As of now, more than 160 potential clients from the offshore sector have been identified globally.
